This action comes as a response to what the Lebanese resistance group describes as continued Israeli acts of aggression against southern Lebanon. Hezbollah announced the offensive, stating that they fired Falaq rockets with heavy warheads at the headquarters of the Israeli military’s 769th Brigade in Kiryat Shmona. The group also launched 100 salvos of Katyusha rockets targeting the 210th division headquarters and the Kilaa air base in the Israeli-occupied Syrian Golan Heights.
